Summary of the Job

This is a challenging, research-oriented role and would require the incumbent to keep abreast with current trends and developments in their technical industry.

There are multiple openings and selected candidates will work on projects for US and Europe based Fortune 500 companies as well as top Law firms and patent attorneys.

This is a permanent job with flexible working hours, 5 days a week, all benefits applicable, and very attractive bonuses.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct prior art searches, technology landscapes, competitive analysis, licensing studies, evidence of use studies and much more

Project management : Manage the review and timely delivery of searches

Communicate with clients regarding breadth and scope of search; speak knowledgeably about technical aspects of search

Prepare project proposals and estimates

Assist clients in developing category matrix for in-depth landscape searches, and work cooperatively to complete these long-term studies

Manage existing clients and assist in growing the client relationship

Keep abreast with updates and changes to commercial patent and technical databases

Assist in performance management of analysts and senior analysts

Train new hires in search procedures and databases as and when required

Skills / Experience Required

Minimum B. Tech. (Electical / E & C / CS / IT)

8-12 years of total work experience in Intellectual Property research services

Ability to use a variety of search databases, such as PatBase, Delphion, IEEE etc.

Good understanding of Technologies

Excellent communication, particularly written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and desire to continue expanding knowledge in intellectual property

General Requirements

Ability to work with team members in a supportive way which encourages team building and confidence with individual members

Ability to work under pressure and meet inflexible deadlines

Ability to prioritize individual workload to manage multiple projects and should be able to manage projects independently

Understand both internal and external customer requirements and provide and implement ideas for improvement
