Manages and maintains various, complex production and non-production databases. Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration.

Optimizes database access and allocates / re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost.


  • Minimum 5 years of Experience in writing SQL Queries
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations and support of enterprise databases.
  • 5+ years of experience in writing complex SQL Queries
  • 2+ years of experience with SSIS,SSAS,SSRS
  • Working knowledge with Python, Shell Scripting
  • Provides support for production application systems, the information warehouse, and business intelligence systems.
  • Works with a team of technical and business specialists to spec, design, and construct new solutions that meet the growing business needs of the company.
  • In compliance with regulatory requirements, moves software code from test to production environment
  • Installs, upgrades, refreshes, and maintains all database environments.
  • Performs day to day database administrative tasks, such as : proactive monitoring, error checking, performance tuning, trouble-shooting, back-up and recovery.
  • Collaborates with project teams to set up database, database interface, and production set-up and configuration.
  • Manages user security and access to databases to provide controlled access environment.
  • Investigates, reviews, applies, and tests all patches and bug fixes in database environment and provide consultation on patch management, custom interface design and operational implementation.
  • Assists developers with logical database design, table layouts, indexes, and storage structures for optimal application design and performance.
  • Analyzes project needs, determines resources needed, and gives recommendations.
  • In compliance with regulatory requirements, moves software code from test to production environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and / or training to coworkers.

    May lead project teams and / or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

    Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) in a related field such as information systems, mathematics, or computer science or equivalent work experience.

    Requires technical knowledge in multiple disciplines / processes. Typically has 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience.


    Relevant database certification preferred.


    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.

    Ability to effectively present information.


    Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.

    Conducts advanced financial analysis.


    Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.

    Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.


    Understanding of database techniques and strategies such as Mirroring, log shipping and sql replication.


    Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines.

    Responsible for setting work unit and / or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
