Responsibilities :

  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of Appfire Apps in the Atlassian landscape involving Confluence, JIRA, JIRA Service Desk, BitBucket, Bamboo, HipChat, Crowd, StatusPage, etc.
  • Analyze a given problem, diagnose it and find its root cause quickly Handle critical and blocker issues in client production environment Perform Linux and Windows administration tasks as part of support Pursue Application and Web Server related (Apache, Tomcat) issues.
  • Perform basic installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications catering to various business requirements (mainly Atlassian Tools).
  • Remote Monitoring of Systems and Applications.
  • Use VPN (Citrix, Cisco) and Remote Access tools to connect to customer environments to provide maintenance and to deliver support Utilize tools, bug / ticketing systems and follow internal Appfire defined processes for delivering support.
  • Provide leadership to the shift resources in terms of technical mentorship, issue-resolution, delegation, supervision and critical issue Handle the work load between shift resources and monitor their progress to ensure customer happiness.
  • Take the lead and follow established processes to hand off accurate status of work of items between shifts (during shift rotation) Be able to participate in the shift activity by way of example.
  • Define and follow application / system administration standard methodologies Design and implement JIRA and JIRA Service-Desk workflows.
  • Perform Atlassian supported database server installation and basic configuration task.
  • Requirements :

  • 8+ years of total experience working as a lead or senior application analyst analyzing and managing applications and providing support services centred around troubleshooting and administration.
  • 4+ years of experience as an Applications Analyst / Administrator in a reciprocal role, working in rotating shifts that help facilitate remote delivery of support services.
  • 4+ years professional experience administering one or more enterprise level applications such as Atlassian JIRA / Confluence, Salesforce, Oracle and IBM, etc.
  • Knowledge of Shell Scripting (using Korn Shell, Bourne Shell, Bash, sed and awk) Virtualization experience and deep understanding of the concepts (VMware or similar).
  • Experience with Cloud based offerings such Digital Ocean, AWS and / or Microsoft Azure Knowledge of High Availability / Disaster Recovery deployments.
  • Experience with Chef, Puppet and similar infrastructure automation tools.
  • Experience in MySQL, Oracle or any other database system Experience with web servers (Apache, Tomcat).
  • Assist Level - 1 / 2 Technical Support engineers and offer expertise in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and delivery based on SLAs.
  • Customer facing experience required.
  • Experience maintaining open source software (MySQL, Open LDAP, Sendmail, Nagios).
  • Should be open to working in day shifts on rotation basis and on weekends if situation demands, based on on-call rotation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Willing to learn Atlassian Tools based on internal training and provide application support Ability to work independently.
  • Be accountable, take ownership and have strong customer focus Ability to prioritize and handle time deftly.
  • Atlassian Certification strongly preferred.
  • Masters or B.E / B.Tech in EE, EECS, CS, MIS or comparable discipline.
