Job purpose :

To prepare estimates to the required level of accuracy so as to :

omake a competitive price to win the proposal.

oto optimize financial implications during project execution

Reporting lines and interactions :

Reports to : Estimating Department Manager / Estimating Group Manager

Key interactions :

oInternal : Sales, Projects, Process, Engineering, Procurement and Construction departments for clarifications / validation of inputs.

oExternal : With vendors and sub-contractors for clarifications and negotiations.

Job scope : Estimation for proposals of Process Plants.

Profile : oEngineering Degree

oEngineering Degree

o5 to 8 years’ experience in Estimation / Cost Engineering.

oProficiency in MS Excel.

oAnalytical skills.

oGood overall knowledge of project activities.

oKnowledge in Indian Taxation.

oManaging ability and potential to be a prospective Estimation Manager.

oCost Engineering experience.

Main accountabilities :

oPreparation of estimates to the required level of accuracy.

oPreparation of Cash flow and exposure analysis.

oComparison and analysis of estimates with bench marks.

oAnalysis of data bank and preparation of estimation benchmarks and thumb rules.

oValidation of inputs / estimates received from internal departments.

oValidation and negotiation of vendor / sub-contractor quotes.

oPresenting and seeking clearance for the cost estimate from Management / Authorized team.
