Job Description - Trade Execution Supervisor (GUR00658)


JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT The Trade and Compliance Supervisor will lead a team, develop and plan import / export processes, customs documentation, shipping, and receiving of foreign merchandise to ensure it arrives at correct time.

We seek a professional with technical knowledge of trade execution practices and procedures to issue import licenses and complete monetary transactions associated with the import in a timely manner.


  • With frequent direction, edits and reviews customs documents and imports / exports documents, ensuring all paperwork adheres to appropriate government regulations, as well as country customs
  • Full understanding of INCO TERMS and Shipping Operation.
  • For handling agro business have full understanding of GAFTA , FOSFA, RSAL, SAL clauses specially FM clauses, Peanlties clause against Extension of shipment period.
  • Full understanding of different kind of LOI for handling bulk shipment.
  • Coordinate with port authorities, Customs, owners and manage vessel origin and discharge cargo operations in line with its SOPs.
  • Timely execution and regular follow-up with all related counter parties.
  • Co-ordination for vessel execution with supplier / buyer / port operations and supervision co (domestic & international).
  • Follows up on new contracts with routine customers in reference to quality, quantity, origin, delivery period and schedule, payments, and pricing.
  • With frequent direction, searches for opportunities to optimize planned costs and any other cost saving opportunities and analyze unexpected costs to identify root causes and define action plan.
  • May conduct routine risk analysis on execution plans / contracts to provide recommendation for next steps.
  • Under direct supervision, participate in process improvement analysis to search for process efficiency opportunities and deliver data driven recommendations
  • Lead and contribute to the development and cultivation of relationships with small accounts, customers, clients, suppliers and other business partners.
  • Coordinate work with external authorities to verify and comply with all customs requirements.
  • Provide guidance to ensure compliance with the home and foreign country government laws and customs regulations.
  • Oversee preparation, review, approval and maintenance of files for import / export documents.
  • You will have some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions, and much of your time is spent completing the same tasks as the subordinate employees.

  • Qualifications


  • Degree in any field (preferably In Internal Busines or Export / Import Documentation)
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Minimum 3-6 yrs of exp in the Field of Supply Chain, Shipping & Documentation.
  • Position is strictly For Night Shift
  • Effective decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of import and export regulations in India (other countries is an added advantage).
  • Knowledge in grains and other Agri commodities handling / conditions
  • Knowledge ofUCPDC / LCs / GAFTA / FOSFA / RSA / INCOTERMS etc

  • Use compelling arguments to gain the support and commitment of others.
  • Develop and deliver multimode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Know the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, focusing on continuous improvement.
