Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications :

Associate degree / Technical Diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited Institution

5 years development experience with .NET, Python, or Javascript in a private, public, government or military environment

Experience with scripting languages; Bash or PowerShell.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include :

Experience developing, monitoring, and troubleshooting web applications in a cloud environment using .NET

Direct hands on experience building the CICD pipeline of applications in AWS or Azure.

Experience deploying Infrastructure with CloudFormation

Ability to multi-task, learn, and work independently.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and team collaboration skills.

Job Summary :

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be part of a team that is responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining software applications.

The Digital Product CoE provides development services for 3M businesses, greenfield cloud application development, sustained engineering, and 24 / 7 operations.

It also hosts and supports GitHub Enterprise, Docker Desktop, and Atlassian platforms for 3M development teams. In this position, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by :

  • Designing and coding custom solutions for 3M divisions while collaborating with Architecture, Security, IT, and other 3M teams to produce the best industry solutions.
  • Participate in 3Ms digital product acceleration through consultation and engagement with division and R&D labs.
  • Developing foundational application building blocks to be used across 3M that address common deployment / development patterns.
  • Building and supporting code pipelines used to deploy infrastructure and applications in Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.
  • Instrumentation of application and infrastructure monitoring, APM, and training of operations team members, so they can identify problems and remediate incidents.
