In this role, you have the opportunity to
Design, develop and maintain Diagnostic X-ray (Radiography, Fluoro & Mammography) and realization of a range of products in such a way that future products options and features can be realized with acceptable effects for the earlier products.
You are responsible for achieving and maintaining the desired image quality of the products by owning the complete responsibilities of X-
ray image chain and associated subsystems.
You are responsible for
Carrying out System Engineering activities of assigned product(s) / product line(s) as per the global system engineering processes
Is responsible for the achievement of the technical goal / commitment of a project
Analyze customer requests and translate them into technical requirements (requirement engineering)
Define system architecture with a focus on imaging chain under considerations of platform constraints
Specify image chain requirements as part of a development project and document those requirements in various tools
Be responsible for the selection of image chain components and subsystems
Analyze project ideas regarding realization options; evaluate the impact on running projects with respect to image quality & product cost
Be responsible that a product achieves its targeted cost and image quality
Managing that the requirements and design is understood and implemented correctly by the project team
Test and verify selected components and subsystems against the requirements
Be responsible to integrate image chain components, adjustment & calibration and verify the system with respect to meeting the safety, functional, performance, reliability and image quality requirements
Create manufacturing documentation that defines component / subsystem / system integration and to adjust and calibrate the system in order to meet the system requirements
Evaluate the quality of X-ray images (radiology) during the product development
Evaluate new and competitive technology in terms of image chain subsystems
Participate and perform risk analysis according to applicable medical device standards
Analyze product(s) issues from the field (post market) and take complete ownership in providing the relevant solution(s)
Participation in design transfer of new products into production
Review and approval of product development documents
Cooperate and guide business partners / suppliers on the national / international level
Contributing to Technology Roadmaps
Reliability and Serviceability of the system / subsystem / components

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Have profound knowledge of X-ray physics; X-ray image chain components and subsystems
Completed engineering studies at the university level; BE / BTech / ME / Mtech / MS / MSc or equivalent; PhD is an advantage
Total work experience 10+ years; min 4 years of work experience in designing image chain subsystem
System thinking mindset and domain expertise in the related area
Fast learner and interest to learn new technologies / business / systems
Ability to present ideas and to convince project team members
Ability to interact with all levels of sales, Business Management, BU, service and applications groups
Be structured and self-organized
Excellent communication skills
Team player, leadership skills and drive for results
