  • To work autonomously whilst working as part of the team delivering excellent experience for patients and their families attending the unit.
  • Acts as role model, demonstrating Apollo standards and proving leadership to operation team including billing, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Secretaries and F&B.
  • Establish develop and maintain effective working relationship between consultants, Doctors, nurses and managers within the unit and across the Hospital.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining a supportive relationship with the patient and their family during their stay in the unit.
  • Direct, Support, Encourage and advise operational teams, by the provision of specialist knowledge and advice in the care of the patients in the unit.
  • Act as a patient champion to ensure patient oriented approach to the delivery of care and to meet the organizational standards and guidelines.
  • Work in conjunction with Doctor in -charge to lead a patient focused service
  • To lead the unit in the absence of Doctor in-charge
  • Responsible for facilitating discharge and admission in the unit
  • Responsible for feedback collection and report analysis
  • Responsible for operational and service excellence
  • Responsible for all data collection and reporting
  • Responsible for assessing and recognizing emergencies in the unit and escalation of the same
  • To attend all unit meetings
  • Responsible for WOW savings
  • Responsible for local induction
  • To be familiar with all policies and guidelines related to operations
  • Motivate and support staff in attending training
  • Participate in appraisal system and assist junior staff to enable them to achieve their objectives
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality
  • Have a responsibility to report risks, incidents and accidents promptly
  • Familiarize with incident reporting system and implant the knowledge to the team
  • Responsible for investigation of operational complaints
  • Attend training identified as mandatory and any training identified as needed by manager
  • In conjunction with Doctor in-charge and others in-charge, identify new initiatives and implement
  • Provide daily and monthly report on four initiatives of discharge process within 60 minutes, fond farewell, call bell response and service excellence
  • Provide cover for operational in-charge as appropriate to cover for leave or sickness
  • Assist operations manger to develop policies, protocols and guidelines to improve operations
  • Assist Doctors in-charge with routine hospital operations
  • To facilitate improved outcomes for patients and their family through initiatives and service excellence
  • Act as ambassador for the unit and hospital
  • To be available to offer support to unit and hospital when facing delayed discharge or admissions and in case of emergencies
  • Activities to meet Job role
  • Effectiveness of Room Readiness for patient Check-In
  • Supervision on room clearance for admission (Housekeeping / Maintenance)
  • Effectiveness of ward secretaries
  • Census Board and door card with occupancy report
  • Billing card for all patients including the procedures, other consultant visits
  • Room Round with Subordinates (Ward Secretary / Housekeeping / Billing / Maintenance )
  • Instruct and follow with down line team for addressing all complaints
  • Supervision on discharge patient counseling during records
  • Effectiveness of Billing Clearance
  • Monitoring the billing secretary in updating the billing on daily basis including procedures / doctors visit (update customer when required)
  • Discharge process
  • Instruct the secretary to follow with DMO for drafting spot discharge summary
  • Instruct the secretary to follow with nurses for return medicines, investigation Cancel and close any other pending
  • Instruct secretary to follow up the summary after drafted & to check with lab for non-reported investigation
  • Instruct the secretary for clearing the pharmacy pending issues for discharge with nurses
  • Instruct the secretary for clearing the OT / Cath pending issues for discharge
  • Supervision on Plan Discharge collection
  • Monitoring / brain storming the secretary for effective plan discharge collection (Before 4pm)
  • Supervision on clearing the plan discharge outstanding works with cross functional department
  • Instruct and follow with secretary to check with lab for non reported investigation for all planned discharges
  • Supervision on summary status for planned discharges
  • Request the DMO to draft the plan discharge summary through doctor in-charge
  • Summary checking
  • Monitoring on discharge summary quality (DOD / other opinion / Review Date / Clinical pharmacist checking)
  • Discharge File deficiency completeness & send it back to MRD within 24 hours
  • Supervision on all previous day discharge files for the completion & along with Doctor in-charge complete the deficiency and send to MRD within 24 hours
