As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for following activities :
Evaluate, select and apply standard technique and procedure to perform engineering assignment.
Provide technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities.
Prepare project documentation within one’s scope of deliverable.
Assist in preparing proposal / presentation of engineering project / program (provision of bills of material, estimated engineering hours, etc.).
Support Contract Manager in issuing claim (new / change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantification etc.).
Provide quality solution as per customer requirement and deliver within budget and contract.
Ensure adherence to safety standard and mitigation of potential risk.
Create work plan and cost estimate in own area of responsibility.
Ensure quality deliverable on time and within targeted cost.
Improve effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other function.
Complete risk and opportunity assessment and ensure implementation of resulting action in one’s area of responsibility.
Report any contract / quality / program / cost issues to management along with recommendation for resolution.
Assist customer on technical issues, interact with official contract, contractor and other staff within his / her scope of deliverable.
Assist communication pertaining to specific assignments or meeting.
Collaborate with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed to with potential supplier.
Provide technical evaluation of supplier proposal and accept as fit for purpose supplied equipment or services.
Use standard processes and tool applicable to one’s area of responsibility.
Ensure that engineering activity comply with required safety regulation and contractual requirement.
Report processes and tools inefficiency and suggest improvement and idea.
Assign task to and coordinate work with entry level engineer, technician, and administrative staff.
A Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline.
System Analysis & network study. Selection of Bus bar configuration & scheme.
Preparation of Main SLD (Single Line Diagram) including selection of primary equipment specifications.
Preparation of Protection SLD (Single Line Diagram) which includes selection of protection schemes for line, transformer, reactor, bus bar etc.
Various sizing calculations to prove sufficiency for adopted substation design instrument transformer sizing.
Short circuit force calculation, Sag- tension calculation, DSLP calculation, earthing calculation, HT & LT cable sizing calculation, illumination design, battery & charger sizing, relay setting calculation etc.
Experience in Layout engineering. Earth mat layout & equipment earthing details. Trench engineering experience is good to have.
Engineering BOQ preparation for bus bar material, cable, clamp, connector, insulator & string hardware.
Review of Primary equipment’s (Trafo , CB, Isolator ,IT,WT etc.), Secondary equipment’s (Control & Protection Panel Schematic, MV Switchgears, LT DBs, Battery ,Battery Charger, JBs etc.).
Mechanical equipment (HVAC, Fire Detection & alarm, Firefighting equipment’s etc.) drawing Software skills.
Proficiency in Auto CAD, CDEG & Microsoft Office.
