Because in our mission to be the contract intelligence platform of the world, we believe how we get there is as important as the destination Job Summary : This role is responsible for supporting the India Accounting, Compliance and Tax team with a focus on continuous process improvement to enable Icertis to meet operational, reporting and audit and tax requirements as the India operations continue to grow very rapidly.
This role reports into Senior Manager, Finance. Job Description : 1.Lead the Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, Indirect Taxes, FEMA, STPI and Companies Act compliance functions and support the general ledger accounting, fixed assets accounting, accounts payables, travel expenses claim processing, intercompany accounting, treasury for India.
2.Direct tax compliances entail calculation and timely deposit of routine tax / withholding payments, quarterly and annual return filings as well as ensuring completion of tax audit, transfer pricing study and corporate tax returns.
Lead the tax assessment projects with the help of external consultants.3.Indirect tax compliances entail routine tax payments, return / refund filings under GST.
4.Support global tax director on evaluating certain income tax / transfer pricing aspects of various intercompany transactions.
5.Carry out accurate current tax and deferred tax calculations and record necessary entries as per USGAAP for global close.
6.Provide day to day support and guidance to a team of accountants across all the processes mentioned above. This will also include hands-on work in NetSuite ERP, including reviewing and approving AP invoices and journal entries specially from tax perspective.
7.Supporting an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close by working closely with local and global stakeholders.
8.Carry out monthly Balance Sheet and P&L reviews and provide meaningful flux analysis. 9.Prepare and publish timely and accurate financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
10. Attend monthly close calls with the global team and provide updates, track closing calendar, proactively raise issues.
11.Ensure adherence to US GAAP, India GAAP, and current financial legislation.12.Ensure quarterly SOX compliance activities are performed timely and accurately.
13.Work with statutory, internal, and global auditors for timely and effective closure. Will include audit planning, tracking, discussions, and conclusion of issues.
14.Support the finance team in continuous improvement and innovation. Includes design, testing and roll-out of financial reporting systems / tools / processes.
15.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.16.Support the finance management team on special / ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.
Job Required skills & qualifications : 1. CA / CPA with 2-4 years of relevant professional experience 2.Experience with a Big 4 is highly preferred3.
Must be familiar with ERP e.g., NetSuite (most preferred) / Oracle / SAP and Concur4.Must be familiar with Global Accounting Close process in a MNC, including balance sheet reconciliations, roll forwards, flux preparation etc.
5.Solid knowledge of Accounting Processes, Audit, US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP6.An independent, self-motivated individual who works well under pressure with a positive, service-oriented attitude7.
Attention to detail, being very well organized and having a problem-solving attitude are key attributes8.Experience handling structured, monitored, and validated data to ensure data integrity9.
Experience in setting up automated processes and ability to provide structured trainings to increase the effectiveness of the team and minimize room for error10.
Strong verbal and written communications skills, including excellent drafting skills.11.Highest level of integrity and good judgment12.
Highly proficient with MS Office applications, particularly Excel13.Needs to be available for late evening / early morning conference calls with the US accounting / tax team.
