Job Title : Analyst

Department : Servicing Platform

Reports to : Senior Manager

Description : This position ensures the real estate taxes, escrow analysis, and UCC's for the collateral of each loan are current by preparing escrow disbursements, obtaining proof of payment, and preparing documents for recording.

The Analyst must demonstrate attention to detail, organization, analytical orientation, and the initiative to work in an independent and reliable manner.

The Servicing Analyst adds value to the Servicing Department by ensuring quality and timely completion of various duties as required by each Lender's servicing agreements.

Essential Functions :

  • Ensure each loan has parcels and UCC's for the collateral setup on the servicing system by reviewing the legal description and any other loan documents as necessary.
  • Pay tax bills for escrowed loans within 30 days of due date from escrow funds or request funds from borrower and / or lender if lender holds escrow.
  • Obtain paid receipts / proof of payment for non-escrowed loans via borrower contact or tax authority within 60 days of delinquency.
  • Update servicing systems accurately upon receipt of tax bills, paid receipts, or recorded UCC's.
  • Monitor all due dates of taxes, escrowed and non-escrowed for delinquencies.
  • Report to Lender as required on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis by preparing Lender forms and / or attachments.
  • Ensure UCC's are recorded and kept current by filing continuations within six months of the expiration date.
  • Analyze escrow accounts on an annual basis for all escrowed loans.
  • Assist with special projects in the tax or any servicing department as necessary.
  • Assist internal and external customers with information requests
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Other duties as deemed necessary
  • Qualifications Required :

  • Undergraduate degree preferred with a minimum of 1-3 years in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity and knowledge of commercial real estate loan documents
  • Ability to recognize risk
  • Ability to work independently
  • Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong customer service skills (written and verbal)
  • Required Skills : Undergraduate degree preferred with a minimum of 1-3 years in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent work experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to recognize and mitigate risk, detail oriented, ability to multi-task and manage deadlines, strong customer service skills (written and verbal).
