Job Description : Support Engineer
Support the organization wide area network, shared offices and data centre networks.
Experience : Junior to Medium level with demonstrated experience in enterprise-scale global network deployment and support.
Specific technology experience and leadership skills required :
Simple problem analysis and troubleshooting ->
Internet VPNs using IPSec and GRE tunnels, including DMVPN ->
Routing environments using BGP and OSPF
Understanding of multiple context firewall deployments in both transparent and routed modes
Data centre networks including L2 / L3 switching up to 40G, virtual port channels, copper and fibre cable plants up to 40G
Open source network monitoring, configuration management, and collaboration tools
Ability to quickly analysis and troubleshoot problems.
Detail orientated installation of equipment with careful attention to detail and record keeping
Ability to document and update Knowledge bases for troubleshooting guide development
Router / switch configuration management
IP addressing provisioning and management
Additional skills desired
Authentication services and protocols including LDAP, RADIUS, EAP, and 802.1x. Specifically experience with Cisco ISE.
Remote access VPN client support and troubleshooting
The Current Technology stack includes but is not limited to
Cisco Routers and Switches ->
Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls ->
VMWare and AWS virtualization
Linux management and monitoring
A team attitude and superior oral and written communications skills are essential. This position will require work outside of Business day hours.
