Join the Labor Management System team (LMS) - part of Distribution Center Technology team (DCT) - and build the next generation of labor management related data products and insights for Area Managers and Operations managers running Amazon Distribution Centers.
Amazon is investing heavily in research and technology to unleash innovative, actionable Labor Management insights with the purpose of lowering cost of running distribution centers, while powering a better associate experience for Amazon associates working in the distribution centers.
The LMS Sr Data Engineer should have deep expertise in the design, creation, and management of large and complex datasets.
You should be an authority at crafting, implementing, and operating stable, scalable solutions to flow huge amounts of data from production systems into the data lake, and build complex transforms to compute and store new labor related measurements developed by the team.
You will work closely with the Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Software Development teams and other business stakeholders on many non-standard and unique business problems and use creative problem solving to deliver actionable output in data gathering, transformation, ingestion and storage.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will also be mentoring other junior resources, provide technical leadership, lead data engineering initiatives and build end-to-end analytical solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure, and cost-effective.
The purview of this role spans measurement across all of Labor Management Systems products including Labor Planning, Labor Task Assignment and Labor Performance Management .
