HP Customer Support (CS) organization has embarked on a journey to radically transform its processes, systems, and capabilities to better serve customers in the post COVID-19 environment.
The key focus area of this transformation is the ability to leverage the power of data to differentiate and drive customer experience, to create new business models, and to improve operational efficiencies.
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to establish and lead CS Data Quality Assurance process. You will be the expert for the transactional systems of record with the focus on accuracy, completeness, consistency, compatibility, and timeliness of the data.
You will provide insight into the business process and systematic workflows that generate the data to ensure the data is correctly utilized by downstream business information and analytic teams.
You will help to resolve any data quality issues identified and help to define any new data requirements needed from the transactional systems or record.
Designs the framework and standard process for ensuring accuracy, compatibility, completeness, accessibility, and timely availability / flow of data from originating sources to CS Business Intelligence and Analytics systems
Ensures data is compliant with defined standards, policies, and quality requirements
Validates and measures data quality, integrity, accuracy, and consistency within the source transactional systems
Domain subject matter expert for the business processes and data that is captured, consumed, or generated by the transactional systems within their domain.
As such, they are the expert on how business processes are enabled by their domain transactional systems and key representatives for understanding the quality of the data generated, the use, and meaning of that data
Knowledge and Skills Desired
Strong understanding of CS transactional systems such as CDAX, SAP / Simplify, Olympia, and ITSM
Strong understanding of data management concepts, principles, and practices
Experienced in managing / monitoring data platforms with data driven objectives. Experience with Ataccama data quality management tool is a plus
Ability to understand the data models, data taxonomy, and a deep appreciation of data standards and data quality
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
Advanced consulting, influence, and negotiation skills
Strong understanding of HP’s policies and processes
Flexible and can adapt easily to changing and evolving role requirements
Key Requirements :
BS / BA or equivalent and a MINIMUM of 5+ years in a Data Engineering, Analysis or Science role
Experience at a company driving projects within an Analytics, IT or Engineering organization
A passion for data and analytics and the value that data-driven decision making brings to a business
Ability to proactively identify problem areas and then mobilize the right people to solve it
Strong collaboration, planning, and prioritization skills
Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development environment
An understanding of the challenges faced by cross-geo teams and a willingness to solve them
A mastery of time management and organizational skills
A willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get things done
