The Publisher Experience Technology team is looking for a seasoned software development manager to lead a large cross-functional software development team.

The charter of the team is to create self-service solutions that make it unbelievably simple, fast, and low-cost for the content creators to publish high quality

This role will have a profound impact on millions of readers and content creators across the world.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the overall software development life-cycle
  • Management and mentoring of key engineering and management personnel; Staffing and maintaining a best-of-class team
  • Work closely with the team, partners, and senior leadership in establishing the vision, creating a strategy
  • Managing and executing against plans and delivery commitments
  • Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile / Scrum environment

  • You will be a manager of managers and be responsible for inventing and enhancing our publishing technology.
  • You lead a highly competent cross-functional team of Software Development Managers (SDMs), Quality Assurance Managers (QAM), Software Development Engineers (SDEs), Software Development Engineers in Test (SDE-T), Quality Assurance Engineers (QAEs), Support Engineers (SEs), Application Engineers (AEs), Manual QA, and Associates.
  • You play crucial role in bringing the best practices across all of these functional areas to ensure that the software we build and the technical processes that we implement are quantifiable with respect to quality and always deliver the best for our customers.
  • Requirements :

  • BE / B.Tech / MCA / ME / M Tech / Ph.D in Computer Science or related fields with 12+ years of or equivalent experience building successful production software systems including at-least 2-4 years of leading the product development and a minimum of 2 years as manager of managers.
  • Strong in Computer Science fundamentals and core areas like Problem Solving, Data Structures, Algorithms and Complexity Analysis
  • Strong Analytical Abilities and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, C#, or Java
  • Experience in conception, design & delivery of cross platform software
  • Experience in defining processes and establishing mechanisms that improves the efficiency of software development for customers and developers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You are extremely technical and have significant experience developing scalable applications and services, with a penchant for building elegant and maintainable systems that get the job done with minimal complexity.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a highly iterative, agile, and open team environment.
  • You build the right product for your customers and pride yourself on delivering products on-time against deadlines.
  • Deep hands-on technical expertise.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A deep understanding of cross-functional multiple-team based software development.
  • A strong business and technical vision
  • Ability to translate these in business and technical approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet timelines with optimal solutions
