Prime Video Channels are available as individual subscriptions with no need to buy a big channel bundle and anytime cancellation.

All Prime Video Channels are available via the existing Prime Video app : customers enjoy the same user experience, one-

click to subscribe and play, and anytime, anywhere access, offering an easy and straightforward way to choose the TV entertainment you want.

The service launched in the US in 2015, Germany and the UK in 2017 and Japan in 2018 and is now one of the largest online marketplaces for video subscriptions.

About the Role

We are seeking an innovative, driven and analytical candidate to lead our content acquisition & channel partnerships team.

This individual will be responsible for driving our content partner strategy & deal making for the Prime Video Channels business in India.

In addition to strong negotiation skills, the ideal candidate will be a critical thinker who has an eye for detail, an ability to juggle multiple priorities, and isn’t afraid to role his / her sleeves up as needed.

S / he must have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate thoughts and ideas, both written and verbally, and think beyond his / her direct sphere of responsibility.

Key activities include :

  • Develop acquisition plans, financial analysis, forecasting and goals for all content / channel deals
  • Establish, manage and maintain strong relationships with content / channel partners
  • Lead content licensing & channel partner negotiations and partner onboarding
  • Collaborate with internal teams across all functional areas within Amazon Video to execute content partner deals and onboard them
  • Prepare and present business reviews related to content deals to senior leaders
  • Basic qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • 15 years of experience in business, marketing and business development roles
  • Digital Streaming, Broadcast Distribution, MVPD / Cable / DTH industry experience preferred
  • Key skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to work with business owners to define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions
  • Proven negotiating skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with proven ability to handle multiple complex projects and deliver results
  • Ability to prioritise workload and deliver results against multiple aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with external partners and stakeholders to meet deliverable requirements
  • Demonstrated bias for action with strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
