Dell Digital Commerce Experiences (DCE) is responsible for $19B+ eCommerce revenue for Dell and is looking for a strong and assertive Technical Program Manager who can drive that number even higher.

You will be responsible for leading and executing key IT programs in support of key internal tools that enables our sales makers deliver a world class shop to fulfill experience for our customers ranging from end consumers to large corporate clients.

Senior Technical Program Managers in DCE possess a deep technical background, work with oversee delivery of multiple projects, help align and drive roadmap, orchestrate different moving pieces from inception through delivery, direct other technical program managers, and work with product management to ensure a rationalized sprint N+3 backlog view is scoped, sequenced and delivered across project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for orchestrating, leading, and executing multiple projects by utilizing standard agile / scrum methodologies and tools.
  • You possess a strong technical background, obsessed with data, are detail driven, and have excellent problem solving skills.
  • You will need to be comfortable challenging design decisions and assumptions.

  • You will be a team builder, mentoring other technical program managers, challenging and motivating them while driving self-organizing teams.
  • You will influence and drive decisions that impact architecture, roadmap and strategy across teams
  • You will collaborate across multiple teams to rationalize a clear N+ view of the backlog while driving process improvements and becoming an SME across specific subject areas
  • You are unafraid to get into the details and provide solution plans
  • You will be the driving force that understands and orchestrates all the moving pieces, and that clearly and concisely communicates issues and status to all stakeholders including the program leadership.
  • You will be responsible for identifying and managing risks, making sound judgments about quality, and stopping (or speeding up) execution at the right time.
  • You possess a strong understanding on the links and dependencies between projects, streamline communication, let data / detail do the talking and focus on razor sharp execution
  • You are expected to make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-
  • functional project teams

  • Desirable Requirements

  • Strong IT background with 8+ years’ experience
  • Prior development background highly preferred must be able to translate and understand technical details with little hand holding
  • Demonstrated experience running complex scalable agile projects backed by a deep understanding of software development lifecycle principles
  • Understanding of Microsoft .NET technologies (ASP.NET / C# / Restful APIs / Web Services / SQL Server / MVC, etc) or equivalent
  • ScrumMaster (CSM), PMP certification preferred
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred
