What is the Digital Communications Coordinator in Corporate Communications group responsible for? The Digital Communications Coordinator will oversee FT’s internal social network with respect to :
Content Development and Publishing : Create, schedule and publish new and engaging content on internal social
Adoption and Engagement Develop internal strategic social partnerships and internal social enterprise programs, campaigns and events to drive engagement and use of internal social
Monitor Compliance - Oversee compliance, policy and online community management of internal social
Advocacy - Consult, educate, and deliver best practice sessions and trainings to employees on usage of internal social collaboration tool at FT
Support Internal Communications Develop and distribute internal content and support internal events as needed
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Digital Communications Coordinator in Global Strategic Services / Corporate Communications group?
Drive and Manage Social Enterprise Platform at FT :
Creating strategic content and drive engagement and adoption on FT's Social Enterprise; monitoring and managing internal social content;
Responding to, seeking out and supporting targeted opportunities across the company where use of the internal social collaboration platform can support and promote corporate goals, productivity, collaboration and communication.
Internal Communications :
In co-ordination with the internal communications team, will develop and execute a digital content communications strategy that supports and promotes the company’s strategic business goals
Content Support and Distribution :
Content creation and publishing for the intranet, social channels and digital screens that reflect FT’s strategic priorities, global operations and culture
Co-ordinate the distribution of content to employees worldwide through the intranet, targeted emails, social and digital channels
Event Support :
Support and promote employee events through a variety of communication platforms and messaging. Events include site-specific employee town halls and gatherings, the Mid-Year Executive Town Hall
All Employee Meeting and Quarterly Leader’s Webcasts :
Co-ordinate the successful execution of events in partnership with the communications team and key stakeholders, including human resources, technology teams and others.
Social Collaboration Platform Subject Matter Expert (SME) :
As the foremost expert of internal social platforms and related tools, the coordinator will have deep knowledge of internal social issues, upgrades, features and functionality.
The coordinator will address queries from across the enterprise and share best practices. Partner with technology teams to resolve outstanding production issues.
Provide administrative and content support for the social platform including, but not limited to, consulting, reporting and platform oversight.
Digital Channels Expert :
The coordinator will be an expert user of digital publishing tools such as Scala. The coordinator will curate, design and publish content that will be displayed across FT offices.
The coordinator will provide content support including consulting with contributors and content strategy
Education and Best Practices :
Delivering broad-based education, training and best practice sessions on usage of the internal collaboration tool to all level of employees within the organization.
Compiling analytics to show usage of the internal social platform from a variety of perspectives to all level of stakeholders within the organization, when required
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
Bachelors in English Literature, Mass Communications. Additional certification in digital communications, web publishing will be useful
5 + years in various corporate communications and HR communications roles
Communications, Financial Technology, Financial Services
