Function / Position Description : Liaison with the Concept Design and Manufacturing Engineering Departments to facilitate their requirements through Engineering Drawings and Procedures for build, test and sustain custom Tooling Fixtures, material handling Equipment fulfilling Applied Materials Ergonomics standards. Key Responsibilities :
Problem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of complex mechanical problems in assembly, testing etc.
Will be responsible for Design ( DfM), development and implementation of custom material handling system, fixturing, and associated processes.
Technically execute engineering projects by developing it with the AMAT associated suppliers.
Interface with internal and external customers regarding mechanical issues for specific project.
Generate product and test specifications.
Provide mentoring for less experienced engineers.
Define, coordinate, perform, and generate engineering test reports.
Specify and review engineering documentation. Key Performance Indicators :
Create Engineering model of Conceptualized designs.
Create manufacturing drawings of fixtures, material handling systems, test equipment’s etc components of which has to undergo various manufacturing process like machining, fabrication, sheet metal etc.
Review created design and drawings which can be manufactured with a cost effective method.
Perform functional inspection of fixtures and test equipment’s manufactured at the sub vendor locations wherever applicable.
Facilitate to attain the cost of designs at earlier stage of concept or final design Qualification : Required : Degree / PG / Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering with all above criteria’s.
Desirable : Engineering or Equivalent with sound knowledge on Design for Excellence principles
Sound Knowledge on Material Selection of metals and non-metals, Machining, Fabrication process, sheet metal and post processing operations.
Proficient in different manufacturing methodology.
Hands on experience in building the assemblies and troubleshooting the issues with form, fit and function.
Expertise in drawing creation and review in terms of Standards, GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis Manufacturability, operation sequence and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, sub-
assemblies and final assemblies.
Thorough knowledge on GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis. Must have a certification on either of these or should have performed detailed work for at least 5 years to demonstrate the knowledge.
Should have experience in quality standards and problem solving like 8D, SPC, FMEA Principles etc.
Collaborate with design Engineers to perform OEM component selection and perform substitute part selection.
Significantly influences the design of interfaces between products and ensure interchangeability.
Proficient in using ISO & ASME Std. Knowledge on DIN Std. will be added advantage.
Competency in UG NX or Pro-E / Creo is preferable.
Knowledge on FMEA will be added advantage.
Good Presentation and Negotiation Skills. Desirable :
All the above required skills with hydraulics or pneumatics knowledge will be an add advantage.
Knowledge on NPDE (New product Development Engineer) role will be an added advantage.

Experience : No of years : Experience of 8-10 years in which at least 3-4 years in a manufacturing organization. Specific experience requirement :
Should have min 3-4 years hands on experience in a manufacturing organization.
2-3 in years of work experience in a design environment.
Experience in Aerospace, Special Equipment’s industry will be an added advantage
