The Environment Release & Support Analyst will be responsible for the Release management of the Test Environment landscapes such as ST, SIT, UAT, FOF and NFT used by Corporate and Payments clusters and the responsibilities include setting up of Release calendars, facilitating deployments, troubleshooting environment issues, Version Gathering and Maintenance of the E2E Landscape components Application versions on Azure and stakeholder management etc.

The role will be working closely for the Environment Release Lead / Manager within the release management function and will be having interactions with the several project stakeholders for day today BAU work and planning. What will you be doing?

  • The role will be responsible for working with the Project Leads and Environments release management lead in order to setup and manage environment release calendars and align release management team as per the plan setup in release calendar.
  • Manage the release deployments in pre-production environments with self-service deployments and by facilitating deployments from external teams on multi-platform systems.
  • Maintaining a record of actual deployments and other knowledge contents and produce weekly KPIs that are consistent and adhering to EaaS standards.
  • Ensure Environment users are notified with advance Environments outage communications.
  • Maintain Application and infrastructure version details up-to date across the environment landscape and perform upgrades of environments as required.
  • Maintaining and updating the E2E Test Landscape application version in TEV and updating the same on Azure or equivalent dashboard.
  • Perform timely upgrades of environments.
  • To host the TRIAGE support and drive until conclusion for all critical and priority issues and ensure issues are resolved with minimal downtime.
  • To automate the manual release tasks using the DEVOPS tools AWS / Jenkins / EX-API / BL / CHEF / etc.

  • Ensure processes and best practices of release management are followed and involve in regular review of existing Release management processes and process improvements.
  • Involve in troubleshooting and remediating of high severity environment issues.
  • Preserve and enhance the knowledge base of release management activities.
  • To prepare the weekly / monthly dashboard release reports
  • A suitable candidate for this role should have strong experience in Environment Release Management, good hands-on experience on release management, deployment and Change management tools.
  • Should also have good understanding on common infrastructure components and how they fit together and interact. Coupled with this, the candidate should come across as calm intelligent and articulate with a strong telephone manner.

    They should be able to demonstrate examples of innovation and enhancement in their assignments.

    What we’re looking for :

  • Degree in computer science or any equivalent engineering discipline.
  • Good Knowledge on Release, Deployment and Change management process (ITIL).
  • Good Knowledge on Release, Deployment and Change management Tools such as Jira / Nolio / Blade logic / Plutora / Evolven / Service now / Service First / Git / Nexus / Clear case / Jenkins / Azure / Appdynamics etc.
  • Good Technical knowledge on scripting languages such as Shell, Pearl.
  • Knowledge on AWS / CLOUD
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well versed with Stakeholder Management
  • Multitasking and good Attitude & Ability to work under pressure
  • Skills that will help you in the role :

  • Knowledge on banking.
  • Experience of Application or Technical Support.
  • Fully conversant with SDLC methodologies like Agile and SCRUM.
  • Good Knowledge in UNIX / Linux / Windows systems.
  • Good knowledge on Batch execution and experience in managing the Application components.
  • Good in Excel Macros
  • Should be good in Reporting
  • Ability to create pace & a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work under pressure and to manage others in same situation whilst ensuring that quality is maintained
  • Ability to influence stakeholders through reasoned argument
  • Proven history of Release Environment and Configuration Management of software and hardware products
  • Experience evaluating and driving adoption of new process workflows in medium to large organizations
