The Role and Accountabilities :
Pre-planning of Transmission Network for Colt Ethernet / IP / Voice Services Producing low-level design for customer solution over Colt’s Ethernet Packet / DWDM / OTN / MSP / M MSP / ATM / DSLAM Networks, as per target-timelines.
Co-ordinate with Front-end Teams / Delivery / Network Operations / Engineering / Capacity Management for designing and smooth implementation of the customer services.
Ensure KPI conformance >
Maintain a high quality of output and ensure completion of tasks with a target of zero errors.
Real time closure of Solution handling system & workflow tools.
Interfacing with peer groups within Service delivery teams
Managing escalations / issues on daily basis.
Perform quality check and drive initiatives to improve quality / accuracy of design.
Handling complex solution related deliveries like Ethernet VPN / Bespoke etc.
Leading & executing delivery projects and migration projects.
Leading weekly calls with stakeholders in IN & EU.
To become SME both technically & process-wise.

What you will need to succeed
The ideal candidate with 7-10 years of relevant industry experience in Solution design, provisioning / planning of services (on Ethernet, DWDM, OTN, ATM, Packet N / W), and having practical experience of Layer 2 service provisioning.
Excellent Solution design skills of Ethernet Packet & Optical network.
Flair for a Network service provider environment, which involves customer solution design, validation, implementation & documentation.
Excellent knowledge of Transmission, Ethernet / DWDM / OTN / MSP / M MSP / ATM / DSLAM Networks / NG Packet Network Technologies.
Experience in provisioning / planning / installations & commissioning / testing / NOC environment (on PDH / SDH, DWDM, ATM, EoSDH)
Excellent understanding of Metro-Ethernet technologies and MPLS based L2 VPN services (Ethernet P2P or P2MP)
Good knowledge of various interface used to deliver Data, Voice and IP based circuits on transmission network.
Knowledge of LAN principles and practices
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills able to articulate technical concepts into documentation
Good working knowledge on MS Office (Visio, Word, PPT & Excel) and other tools used for day 2 day administrative tasks.
Liaise effectively with other teams where necessary.
