We are looking for a Senior EE Architecture DevOps Engineer to join our rapidly developing Electrical Engineering team. This role will be working fully remotely from India.
We're working to solve some of the most challenging environmental problems in city centre, last-mile logistics, which means an opportunity to have a significant impact on the world around us, and what it will look like in the future, from your very first day.
We want to revolutionise city centre logistics in order to make urban environments better places to live and work. We're creating the world's safest commercial vehicles by reimagining conventional truck design principles, thanks to our full-electric drivetrain, and thus protecting vulnerable road users.
Our electric powertrain also eliminates harmful tailpipe emissions, removing harmful pollutants that contribute to climate change.
A crucial part of our journey is building a team of outstanding employees who share our vision for the future and our values of safety and sustainability.
You'll be joining a world class team, backed by top investors that all believe in the future we are creating. We have ambitious growth plans for 2021 and beyond, scaling our team and activity at an exciting pace.
We are a people-led company focused around creating an exceptional business, and all employees have a high level of autonomy and a platform to make a real impact.
What you will do :
You will lead all aspects of the development of the EE Architecture tools and processes to change how each of the EE Architecture tool and processes are integrated.
You will work with the respective EE architecture engineers to create ideas, define changes to the tools and processes and then manage, execute and deliver those exchanges.
You could be working hands-on yourself plus with outsourced partners and suppliers to deliver each change. You will ensure the changes rolled out are robust, safe and flexible from initial concept through to series production and beyond.
Responsible for the integration of tools and process with the Electrical and Electronic architecture engineering team, and integrating them into the overall Volta tools and processes.
Own and lead the design, implementation and roll out changes in the tool and processes, for the following teams and their chosen toolchains :
System design (eg Rhapsody, SysML, UML)
Network Design (PREEvision, arxml, dbc, ldf)
Software design and implementation (eg, Simulink, C++, compilers)
Diagnostics (eg, cdd, odx, pdx, otx)
File storage (eg Jenkins, Artifactory)
Your changes will drive efficiency and speed improvements by removing manual steps and directly connecting data in the respective tools, thus affecting how the EE Architecture Engineers work in their day to day tasks.
Consult the relevant teams and subject matter experts to scope areas for improvements, and propose changes.
Coordinate the rollout of changes with the relevant stakeholders to support program timing.
Create methods to analyse and create objective attributes to review the tools and processes against.
Create a roadmap of changes and improvements, providing analysis of each idea for approval against company objectives (time, cost, quality).
Manage any required external support required to implement changes
We would like you to have :
3+years Demonstrable experience designing tool and process solutions, planning their implementation and rolling out changes
1+ year in a leadership role for individual projects or changes.
Technical Knowledge of software languages and their development (Java, Python, C, Agile methodology)
Technical Knowledge in REST API is strongly desirable
Experience in Automotive tools and processes is desirable, but not necessary.
University degree in software or computer science topics
