Department Overview :

IHS Markit Securities Finance SFTR provides customers with a solution for Securities Finance regulatory reporting.

Position Summary :

Markit SFTR is looking for Business Analysts to join their product development team. The ideal candidates will be comfortable conducting business analysis independently, will be self sufficient and will have strong technical skills.

A strong background in Securities Finance and the Securities Finance Transaction Regulation is an advantage.

The SFTR India team is a greenfield set up and provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional or a graduate to gain knowledge in the Securities Finance industry across equities, repos, Prime Brokerage margin lending and commodities lending.

Given the nature of this highly complex regulation, these positions offer candidates a great opportunity to understand all facets of the global securities finance industry and the intricate network of market participants.

Duties and Acountabilities

  • Conduct business analysis into required changes to the IHSM SFTR product
  • Produce user stories for these changes - the BA must be experienced in Agile functioning projects and their methodologies
  • Work effectively and proactively with client facing, development and test teams remotely, including those based on onshore and offshore locations
  • Foster collaboration and continued product improvement with the SFTR client facing team
  • Assist in developing advanced product-focused expertise in the team, including the production of artefacts to propagate knowledge throughout the team
  • The senior role should act as mentor and coach for junior associates and help them understand the product and our offering, and to guide them to upgrade their knowledge and technical skills
  • Business Competencies :

    Education and Experience

  • Candidate to be degree educated. Finance, Economics or Computer Sciences with 10 plus years of experience
  • Working knowledge of SFTR is preferred
  • Relevant experience in the securities finance sector is advantageous
  • Database query skills are required
  • Advanced excel skills preferred
  • Commercial awareness

  • Prior experience in the financial industry, in particular stock lending, repo or trade reporting desirable
