4 yrs. Job Description with Roles & Responsibilities :

The End user calls for desktop serviceswould be initially diagnosed using remote desktop tool like Kaseya or toolprovided by ARLIC.

The services through remote support would include thefollowing :

nConfiguration of Desktops,

  • Messaging, Office Automation applications and / or AEGONLIFEapplications clients on the desktop,
  • nInstallation ofsoftware and troubleshooting related problem,

  • OS support †configuration, Reinstallations
  • Installation of office automation applications,
  • Installation and administration of MicrosoftApplications and / or open office, such as MS Word, and PowerPoint,
  • Installation and configuration of AEGONLIFE applicationsclients on desktop.
  • Managing disk / folder sharing and permission settingson Desktops,
  • Re-Installation of desktop application ARLICs onDesktops and Laptops.
  • Using existing tool Kasaya or any tool provided by AEGONLIFEavailable with ARLC will be used for remote desktop management.
  • Toolorientation will be provided by ARLIC

  • Download, Test and update the critical Patch releasedby OEM vendors post approval from ARLIC.
  • Keep track of Patch versions
  • If the issue is not resolvable remotelythen deskside support will be provided for users where resident engineers areavailable.

    The locations where resident engineers are available for support isMumbai Goregaon Office. For all other AEGONLIFE offices, desk side support willbe provided by on call support engineer.

    In case of hardware failure, the callwill be assigned to the AMC vendor and IBM would carry out vendor co-ordinationactivities.

    The Deskside support includes thefollowing support-

  • Receive the tickets from the service / Helpdesk desk
  • Take appropriate action on the tickets based on thediscussions with service / help desk.
  • Troubleshoot for the desktop / laptop problems reportedincluding diagnostic of hardware failure
  • Troubleshoot desktop applications such as MS Office, Outlook / Mail ARLICs, Internet browser, AEGONLIFE applications client etc.
  • If required Reinstall / Format to Install desktop OS asper requirement, add / remove accessories, and devices / peripherals, configurePCs.
  • Provide Desktop support such as OS configurations,Installation of printer / peripherals configurations, virus cleaning and restorethe OS after failure.
  • Install load / reload desktop / office automationsoftware, e-mail ARLIC, and browser as per need.
