Trade Execution Supervisor - GUR00658 Description JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT The Trade and Compliance Supervisor will lead a team, develop and plan import / export processes, customs documentation, shipping, and receiving of foreign merchandise to ensure it arrives at correct time.
We seek a professional with technical knowledge of trade execution practices and procedures to issue import licenses and complete monetary transactions associated with the import in a timely manner.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES With frequent direction, edits and reviews customs documents and imports / exports documents, ensuring all paperwork adheres to appropriate government regulations, as well as country customs Full understanding of INCO TERMS and Shipping Operation.
For handling agro business have full understanding of GAFTA , FOSFA, RSAL, SAL clauses specially FM clauses, Peanlties clause against Extension of shipment period.
Full understanding of different kind of LOI for handling bulk shipment. Coordinate with port authorities, Customs, owners and manage vessel origin and discharge cargo operations in line with its SOPs.
Timely execution and regular follow-up with all related counter parties. Co-ordination for vessel execution with supplier / buyer / port operations and supervision co (domestic & international).
Follows up on new contracts with routine customers in reference to quality, quantity, origin, delivery period and schedule, payments, and pricing.
With frequent direction, searches for opportunities to optimize planned costs and any other cost saving opportunities and analyze unexpected costs to identify root causes and define action plan.
May conduct routine risk analysis on execution plans / contracts to provide recommendation for next steps. Under direct supervision, participate in process improvement analysis to search for process efficiency opportunities and deliver data driven recommendations Lead and contribute to the development and cultivation of relationships with small accounts, customers, clients, suppliers and other business partners.
Coordinate work with external authorities to verify and comply with all customs requirements. Provide guidance to ensure compliance with the home and foreign country government laws and customs regulations.
Oversee preparation, review, approval and maintenance of files for import / export documents. You will have some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions, and much of your time is spent completing the same tasks as the subordinate employees.
Other duties as assigned Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Degree in any field (preferably In Internal Busines or Export / Import Documentation) Fluent in both written and spoken English Minimum 3-6 yrs of exp in the Field of Supply Chain, Shipping & Documentation.
Position is strictly For Night Shift Effective decision making and problem solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of import and export regulations in India (other countries is an added advantage).
Knowledge in grains and other Agri commodities handling / conditions Knowledge of UCPDC / LCs / GAFTA / FOSFA / RSA / INCOTERMS etc KEY BEHAVIORS Use compelling arguments to gain the support and commitment of others.
