The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world.

Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a talented Software Engineering organization to deliver innovative, high quality products on a foundation of architectural and engineering excellence
  • Manages the hiring, staffing and maintenance of a diverse and effective workforce. Leads, counsels and motivates teams.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring in engineering best practices, including agile development methodologies, service architectures, and design patterns
  • Responsible for ensuring stability and performance of the products are best in class. This includes accountability for performance, availability management and capacity planning.
  • Passionate about the customer experience, and ensure every visit a great experience.
  • Responsible for career development / planning, performance and pay discussions of team members.
  • Communicate and translate vision / strategy to staff. Responsible for executing on functional and business goals for the group.
  • Primary point of contact to senior / executive leadership.

  • Makes suggestions for problem solutions or software / product enhancements. Provide guidance and technical advice and become actively involved as required.
  • Oversees the delivery of products within budget, schedule and quality guidelines.
  • Essential Requirements

  • 13 to 19 years of experience in Software Product Development for Oracle ERP
  • Strong technical background, and experience in building next generation reference architectures and solutions to enable business strategies
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Oracle EBS Finance modules (Order Management, Account Receivables, Accounting, General Ledger)
  • Strong track record in building high performing organizations with a focus on people development and empowered teams
  • 5+ years people management experience with demonstrated experience in building and motivating large global teams
  • Strong organizational planning and development, business judgment, influential skills and technical leadership
  • Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal and team management skills.
  • Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Software development experience in Oracle EBS Finance modules (Order Management, Account Receivables, Accounting, General Ledger)
  • Knowledge of the Oracle ERP application, with a keen interest in keeping up to date on the latest trends in this space
  • Experience on SCRUM methodology and operation in an AGILE development environment
  • Experience with establishing processes, controls, risk management and resource allocation
