Designation - Consultant Specialist

Purpose of the Job -

Purpose of the Job (overall high level summary of the job)

The Automation Test Engineering job is responsible for requirements, traceability, designing and executing very complex test strategies and test plans for Products / Services.

This role will carry out some or all of the following activities :

  • Software testing using various methods and tools.
  • Quality Assurance Automation and ensuring that the test strategy also take into account the test data, environments, Non-
  • functional testing relevant for Products / Services.

  • Compliance with all relevant controls and standards.
  • Working with Ops and Dev Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc) and any design related issues are identified during testing, and addressed in a timely manner prior to implementation.
  • Providing support in the identification, root cause analysis and eradication of problems associated with the Technology service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.
  • Providing support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the Technology service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.
  • Provide guidance and help to DevOps teams in relation to Service Management Processes to balance speed to market against operability, stability and availability.

    Impact on the Business

    S / he is responsible for managing the requirements, traceability, designing and executing very complex test strategies and test plans for Products / services need to embed automation of test scripts in the pods.

    People / Team Management

    Will require excellent leadership skills to ensure the global team are engaged, motivated and driven.

    Act as a subject matter expert for junior members of the team.

    Collaborating across DevOps teams to ensure consistency, and continuously improve Test automation and execution across the pods.

    Operations Delivery Management

    Drive testing best practices and adhere to governance frameworks. Show clear understanding of the customer’s global distributed requirements.

    Must demonstrate, collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.

    All test execution must be automated afhering to the automation test framework.

    Customers / Stakeholder Management

    Engaging all relevant stakeholders and ensure the stakeholder needs are understood, met and communicated periodically via clear communication

    Will support across multiple Pods within the DevOps team.

    Risk and Compliance Management

  • Analyze, anticipate and mitigate risk factors and work with the team and stakeholders to minimize risk.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars) and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behavior.

  • The jobholder should ensure they understand their position within the Three Lines of Defence, and act accordingly in line with operational risk policy, escalating in a timely manner where they are unsure of actions required.

    Stakeholder Management : Different levels of stakeholders with different expectation levels, keeping the DevOps model at center, will need to be managed on an ongoing basis.

    Experience & Qualification :

  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance / Test Automation framework design and automation.
  • Proven ability to manage globally distributed, multi-site teams and delegate authority
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Good knowledge and working experience in agile methodologies
  • Knowledge & Skills :

  • Excellent hands on knowledge of designing and building test automation frameworks proven expertise of using test automation products, i.
  • e. Selenium, Cucumber, etc.

  • Ability to prioritize work to successfully deliver service to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly changing environment
  • Exposure / Knowledge of Project Management in Agile / DevOps environment
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience in communicating with executives
  • Strong leadership and management ability, motivating IT employees
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Strong process implementation and management skills
