    Overallpurpose of role :

    This is a senior leadership role withinthe India Group Service Company (GSC), previously BSS & BTCI, responsiblefor working with both the India domestic business and GSC to ensure compliance withthe Barclays Group Resilience Policy.

    Theincumbent will also be the lead Resilience Partner for COO & FunctionsGlobally and be part of India GSC Extended Exco Leadership .

    She / he will also be responsible forbuilding the new strategy for the GSC and responsible for working with seniorstakeholders in Service Company (COO & Functions) globally (UK & US) todrive resilience by design programme.

    The role holder will articulate standardsand develop, maintain and improve an effective business aligned ResilienceProgramme.

    The candidate will provide strategic advice to senior stakeholdersglobally to construct and maintain well controlled, resilient processes andwill build and drive the execution of a regional resilience plan based on riskprofiles for each business and function.

    Building the Cyber Resilience framework, developing psychologicalresilience model and the framework for Organisationalresilience will be critical deliverables.

    The business aligned areas covered bythis role include :

  • Chief Data Office
  • GFDf (including Treasury)
  • Primary duties :

    oAct as a key point of contact for seniormanagement, regulators and audit bodies for resilience related matters for theService Company.

    oEnsure the businesses and functions maintain and deliveragainst their Resilience strategies, ensuring the establishment of effectivegovernance to maintain the Resilience (including recovery) capabilities to theBusiness Units Risk Appetite position.

    oDrive the Cyber Resilience programme for the bankand develop the Organisational Resilience framework.

    oResponsible for driving and leading the CrisisManagement team for India

    oEnsure the India Business and GSC adopts theGroup’s approach towards the management of Resilience and operate in such a waythat ensures services to all stakeholders, clients and customers are notmaterially impacted during adverse events.

    oActively engage the businesses and functions to ensureresilience is owned and embedded as part of business / function planning,management and development.

    oEnsure that each Business unit has an up to datecomprehensive and robust Resilience Risk profile and has translated this into aResilience plan that addresses Critical and major gap.

    Where missing, lead thebusinesses / functions in compiling and maintaining a Resilience Profile for eachF2B Process.

    oProvide strategic direction and resilienceguidance to Senior Management including both Co-CEOs of GSC and Executivelevels

    oLead the India Business Units in identifying anddocumenting all Front-to-Back processes (F2BPs) including defining the overallrequirements that support the F2BP including Supplier, Technology, PremisesResilience.

    oLead the India Business Units in theidentification and remediation of gaps in Resilience and ensure the implementationof innovative solutions to mitigate Resilience risks.

    oEnsure Resilience standards are embedded in designof key strategic projects / programmes

    oEnsure quality assessment and oversight ofProgramme Delivery in line with the Group Policy and Standards.

    oRepresent India Business and GSC at any necessary Resilienceand risk forums and steering committees.

    oAct as an ambassador for Barclays, representingGroup Resilience & CSO as required at industry forums and duringindustry-wide exercises.

    oEnsure that Crisis Leadership coverage is clearand agreed with firmwide Crisis Leadership team

    oEnsure businesses have CLT call outs in place,that protocols are clear, understood and executable

    oEnsure appropriate business participation inrelevant War Games as required

    Risk andControl : All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and dutiesare carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, EnterpriseWide Risk Management Framework and internal

    BarclaysPolicies and Policy Standards.

    oEnsure that all activities and duties are carriedout in compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational RiskFramework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards.

    oEnsure Resilience risks and issues are activelymanaged, communicated through the Resilience Risk Forum and escalated to theGroup Risk and Control Committees for the supporting business.

    oEnsure accepted risk levels and Dispensations,Waivers and Breaches (DWBs) are documented and their review is included as partof the Resilience plan process.

    oTrack resolution of identified risks throughagreed action plans ensuring target timescales and milestones are achieved.

    Communication,Leadership Management

    oDevelop, implement and manage an effectivestakeholder engagement plan

    oEngage confidently with senior executives, able toarticulate Resilience firmwide standards and how these impact thebusinesses / functions

    oEstablish and manage relationships withstakeholders at senior and exec levels, providing strategic advice with regardsto business resilience planning and solutions.

    oImpart knowledge and experience to effect theraising of business resilience awareness and to highlight potential threats orvulnerabilities.

    oInfluence and provide input into proposed businessrecovery capability, solutions and associated expenditure and cost allocationsfor the relevant business units including crisis management and businessresilience related spend.

    oPromote a positive, proactive business resilienceculture across the organisation and embed business resilience principles withinbusiness-as-usual processes.

    oProvide leadership and direction to direct reportsand a larger, matrixed, organisation in creating a working environment of highemployee engagement with a focus on proactively providing reliable, flexibleand innovative technology solutions.

    ResilienceDelivery

    oLead the business in the execution of all testingand validation exercises including live invocations.

    oProvide regular and timely reports to seniorstakeholders and other interested parties, on progress and potential issueswith the business resilience plans and solutions.

    oParticipate in the operational and investmentbudget planning necessary to support the business resilience plans andsolutions.

    oHighlight and escalate weaknesses, identified withrelevant stakeholders and accountable executives, in consultation with GroupResilience.

    oInterface with change, problem, incident, projectand new business experts to provide business resilience direction, guidance andsupport.

    oSupport the Sourcing and Supplier Managementprocess by providing Resilience subject matter guidance for suppliers consumedby India Business and GSC.

    Control and Compliance

    oMeasure capability and performance and communicateto India Business, GSC, Group and / or Barclays business resilience qualityassurance function as required.

    oCompliance : ensure that the business understandsand adheres to the Barclays Code of Conduct and, where appropriate, complieswith all relevant regulatory policies (this includes completion of anymandatory training requirements).

    oMonitor compliance across the supported areas policiesand standards in respect of Group Resilience.

    oAssist with the review of the impact of currentand future regulatory and / or Barclay’s requirements for business resilience.

    oManage risks, issues, risk and controlself-assessment’ actions and audit observations to satisfactory conclusion,producing dispensations, waivers, breaches where non-

    compliance to minimumstandards exists.

    Your Skills andQualifications will include

    oStrong understanding of one or more of the Technologyor Operations Businesses on a front to back basis

    oPrevious experience working in a security orrelated role. Exposure to Cyber & Information Security.

    oExperience in Cyber Security critical for the role

    oA good understanding of risk, and a proven trackrecord in exercising judgment in risk situations

    oStrong communication and influencing skills,including projecting a senior presence and ability to lead others

    oExperience of successful and comprehensiveleadership within a function or business that translates comfortably into Resilience,Risk & Control and / or similar in a complex organisation.

    oWorks effectively across multiple disciplineswithin a large organisation to drive outcomes

    oExperience of and successful operating capabilityof operating in a matrix management model where influencing, negotiating andchallenging skills have been highly leveraged.

    oAbility to work under pressure

    oStrong and proven record of operating with / advising the most senior levels of management in a large multinationalfinancial organisation.

    oStrong and proven track record of engaging withand successfully working with senior stakeholders, at all levels of theorganisation

    oProven track record of the developing and the implementationof resilience controls that improve the control landscapes.

    oSignificant experience in business resilience andcontinuity (preferred), theoretical and practical, with a strong understandingof these disciplines within the financial services industry.

    oInterpretative thinking and advanced analyticalskills to problem-solve in often complex / sensitive situations.

    oStrong understanding of threats, risks, impactsand associated mitigations as they relate to business resilience within a majorbanking organisation.

    oStrong ability to evaluate options and maintainflexibility to new information and evolving environment.

    oKnowledge and understanding of relevant regulatorybodies, standards (e.g. FSA ISPB) and industry better practice (e.g. ISO22301,PAS56).

    oKnowledge of working in an ERMF environment with a3LoD methodology.

    oProven track record of excellent verbal andwritten communication skills including influencing.

    oMaintains high standards of personal integrity,whilst demonstrating respect for other viewpoints.

    oProven competency in use of MS Officeapplications.

    oThis is a senior director role, so looking forseasoned candidates already operating at a senior level with exposure workingwith Exco.

    oExperience working in Security critical

    oMBA from a top tier Bschool preferred or anEngineering degree from the top tier college
