Job Summary : The Sr Application Developer supports operation and enhancement to the architecture of Oracle eBusiness Suite R12 as well as other applications globally across all functional areas for Ingersoll Rand.

    This position is part of the Global Technical Services team working with various locations around the world to support business solutions and systems.

    Candidate should have Oracle eBusiness Suite R12 development and support experience. Responsibilities :

  • Provide operational support to Oracle eBusiness Suite 24x7 (Onshore / Offshore model) including rotating on-call duties.
  • Provide assistance to both technical and business users identifying and resolving R12 issues.
  • Monitor, provide support, and provide expert knowledge for R12 technical questions.
  • Perform root cause analysis and assist in efficient resolution of production incidents.
  • Support the Analysis, Planning, Design, and Implementation of share R12 frameworks.
  • Perform routine operations tasks including R12 monitoring, periodic system health check, integration performance monitoring, resolving production incidents, participating in collaborative working teams, and executing planned production changes.
  • Ensure ongoing operations remain within established SLA.
  • Contribute to operational excellence with continuous improvement activities.
  • Partner with application development teams to fix defects through full life-cycle of software development, including : requirement and risk / benefit analysis, effort estimation, acceptance testing, implementation, and stabilization.
  • Contribution in enhancement automation work and production stability.
  • Participate in code reviews and architecture review to assess that new development is done as per standards
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, design, implementation, business impact analysis, vulnerability assessment and contingency planning
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written customer service skills through all levels of communication
  • Contribute to the knowledge repository to help insure that information is disseminated.
  • Qualifications :

  • 6 or more years of experience supporting and developing Oracle eBusiness Suite R12 with hands-on working experience
  • Expert knowledge of R12 extensions and integration development, as well as support requirements
  • Expert understanding of Oracle technology stack, integration patterns, best practices, and architectures to support mission critical and high availability implementations
  • Experience troubleshooting, performance tuning, testing and administration support for Oracle eBusiness Suite applications and environments.
  • Experience in code migrations, deployments and patch recovery is required
  • Expert PL / SQL and SQL knowledge
  • Good knowledge of Oracle Workflow, Oracle Forms and Reports, BI Publisher, Oracle Application Express
  • Oracle Application Framework and Oracle ADF is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Incident Management and Change management tools and processes, including source code control, versioning, branching, defect tracking and release management
  • Hands-on experience with UNIX or LINUX systems
  • Ability to work on high priority issues and also should be capable of prioritizing tasks during multiple issues
  • Ability to work on a team and demonstrated capability to involve all team members for supporting and maintain the application
  • Possess excellent communication skills, presenting, listening and informing.Able to communicate up, down and across the organization
