This is a manager role within our International Accounting and Compliance organization and is located in Bangalore, India.
This position will be responsible developing and leading our Shared Services Accounting team supporting U.S. GAAP accounting around the globe.
This position will be a key member of our International Accounting leadership team as we develop the people, processes and technology to support the growth of Intuit around the world.
This position will require strong technical and managerial skills, the ability to effectively partner with Regional Controllers and Corporate Accounting & Reporting team members around the world to drive strategic initiatives, execute and maintain accounting principles and company policies, strong change management skills, and ability to drive issues through to resolution and validation.
Develop and lead the Shared Service Center Accounting team
Partner with regional controllers for accurate execution of month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate US GAAP reporting for non-US subsidiaries
Provide support for statutory audits, direct and indirect tax return preparation, and responses to governmental audit inquiries
Implement best practices to ensure timely and accurate processes
Drive the development of strategies to improve accounting operations effectiveness, including the development and execution of organizational, process and system changes
Implement and maintain the required process and internal control environment, and perform control procedures to ensure subsidiaries are complying with Company policy
Stay current on evolving Accounting Standards pronouncements and updates under prevailing regulatory bodies (FASB, SEC, IASB), incorporating into current Company policy as necessary
Apply professional skepticism and an inquisitive approach to review and analyze the appropriateness and reasonableness of underlying accounting principles
Work closely with the entire CAO organization to ensure effective compliance with policies and procedures
Ability to work with cross-functional teams to enable growth while managing financial statement risk
Skills required are :
Chartered Accountant with 8 10 years of experience including 4+ years managing teams in a SSC corporate accounting environment
Strong understanding of large company finance and accounting and internal control practices. US tech company experience is must
Strong technical accounting skills; ability to research and understand technical details, but also interpret and present in lay terms to non-
technical finance and other business partners.
Strong analytical and project management skills, including the ability to think and lead complex projects simultaneously.
Large accounting software package expertise (preferably Oracle financials).
Big 4 experience will be an advantage
Subject Matter Expert in IGAAP, IFRS, USGAAP and tax compliances
Experience in International and Transfer pricing regulations
Ability to deal with tax team and external and governmental auditors
Passion for accounting and compliances
