Desktop as a Service is realized through a high level of automation and functionality enabling the End User to perform self-service tasks.

The three components of Desktop as a Service are defined as follows :

1. Asset as a Service includes End User Device lifecycle management, procurement, hardware break-fix, and Refresh.

2. Software as a Service consists of image management, application packaging, and software distribution including operating and application patch management.

3. Security as a Service contains antivirus, anti-spyware, anti-malware, device encryption, personal firewall, host intrusion protection, Threat Intelligence Exchange (TIE) and operational security management.

The main focus area of this role is Security as a service.

The above services are managed by Global Operations managers, the Subject Matter expert receives assignments from Global Operations Manager in the form of tasks and objectives and works with customer and supplier to meet objectives.

Subject Matter expert in the coordination of Global IT activities related specifically to the area of security as a service.

Recommends changes to IT policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s). Works on IT issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.

Follows IT processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and / or resolve technical IT problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements;
  • supports Global Operations Manager responsibilities.

    Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and / or functional peer group experts, normally involving matters between functional areas or customers.

    Responsibilities

  • Ensure day to day service operations meet the business needs
  • Manage and reports on the service consumption
  • Participate in weekly Supplier meetings and track to closure assigned actions
  • Provide reporting for monthly management team meetings
  • Technical Requirements

  • Must have knowledge and solid work experience with McAfee Client Security applicationsePolicy OrchestratorDisk EncryptionHost Intrusion PreventionThreat IntelligenceMcAfee Anti-virus / Anti-spyware
  • Windows 10 and related security features (BitLocker, Defender, Device Guard, Exploit Guard, Firewall)
  • Experience in a large global enterprise >
  • 50k PC’s - preferred

  • Excellent communication skills required (English)
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office suite to produce presentations on respective subject matter
  • Ability to work cohesively and productively in a team environment team player
  • Education :

  • Typically requires a Graduate Engineering degree in computer science with 5 years of related experience in IT
  • ITIL Foundation certified
