The Process and Controls team sets process governance, monitors process and control execution, and monitors / reports opportunities for targeted process improvement across Finance.
The team maintains the process taxonomy, oversees the maintenance of XL Catlin’s Finance process documentation, and employs industry standard process management methods.
The team supports a standard process documentation and analysis tool set. The team provides consistent, detailed process-
based information for analysis and reporting.
The role of this position is to identify risk across the processes and set up / build effective controls to mitigate the identified risk within finance functions across XL Catlin Group in India and onshore locations.
As this is a junior middle leadership position, the candidate is expected to be self-driven and motivated, with minimal day-
to-day direction and take full responsibility for the ultimate deliverables. The position will report directly to Manager / Senior Manager based out of Gurgaon Office.
What will your essential responsibilities include?
Review and analyze existing processes documented to date to ensure fitment with the documentation standards.
Draft and document new / existing processes per business requirement.
Analyze and document process risks and design controls to mitigate these risks.
Periodic testing of key controls including reviewing evidences and remediation of noted issues.
Identify, analyze and lead potential process improvement opportunities within and between finance disciplines.
Project management for identified projects.
Identify and coordinate interdependencies between program work streams and processes to ensure integration between all programs.
Support transition to new / changed processes, including training.
Maintain process documentation, including formalized change controls to prevent process erosion.
Maintain strong communication with onshore team (both written and verbal) and manage expectations.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills :
CA with 4-6 years of experience in an organization of repute with strong experience of business process documentation, risk assessment, control designing.
Strong Accounting knowledge.
Strong IT skills (MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word).
Experience on any business process management tool will be an added advantage.
Experience with financial software development and implementation of ERP will be good to have
Experience in insurance Industry would be an added advantage
Organized, methodical, able to deal effectively with multiple priorities and do multitasking.
Strong communication & interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a fast paced multi-cultural environment.
