Position Duties :

Provide basic servicing, testing and maintenance of Varian Medical Systems (VMS) electronic

equipment according to instructions and company guidelines to ensure that customers'

equipment operates efficiently at all times. Works under direct supervision.

Maior responsibilities :

  • Service and maintain Varian Medical Systems (VMS) products according to instructions
  • given and technical documentation provided, to ensure that customers have their VMS

    equipment in perfect working condition at all times.

  • Order spare parts for assigned customers including replenishing spare parts kits for
  • warranty and contract customers, to ensure they can operate their VMS equipment

    according to technical and safety guidelines with the highest level of satisfaction.

  • Input detailed records of service visits into company information systems, including
  • technical problems, actions taken and parts employed to correct these problems, to ensure

    accurate updated customer maintenance information is available to other VMS parties.

  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, in order to permanently keep informed
  • regarding all operating characteristics, design factors, technical performance and

    developments of VMS products.

  • Maintain a high degree of professional knowledge and safety consciousness according to
  • VMS guidelines in order to perform activities under the safest working conditions.

  • Report by means of FSR's' time sheets' expense reports etc. (as applicable) regularly'
  • weekly to ensure accurate company statistical data on customer-oriented activities is

    available' maintained up-to-date.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Education :

    Graduate of Technical Institute or University in electronics, electrical I biomedical engineering.

    Experience

    4-6 years (prior field service experience would be a plus point).

    Knowledge : Information Technology :

    Information Technology :

    Knowledge of and professional technical experience with microcomputers / PC based systems.

    Customers :

    Understanding of customers and their requirements.

    Business Procedures :

    Understanding and application of VMS business procedures.

    Technical expertise :

    Knowledge of processes and methods used in VMS product areas such as product specification,

    product developments / expansions and product security and safety.

    Knowledge of and professional experience with electronic and electro-mechanical engineering,

    testing equipment used for verification, checkout and calibration of electronic equipment.

    Health & Safety :

    Constant training to gain and maintain a sound knowledge and systematically apply national

    laws and VMS regulations on health & safety in the workplace environment, particularly

    concerning radiation and electrical safety.

    Skills :

  • Fluency in the local language and in English, both written and spoken.
  • Must be mature and tactful.
  • Articulate and skilled in interpersonal communication.
  • Willing to travel extensively.
  • Willing to work normal and non-normal hours as required supporting the customers.
  • Excellent skills in applying VMS health & safety regulations to job holder's work
