The Operations Division is the engine room that powers Goldman Sachs, and Operations Technology is driving their industrialization through automation, digitization and orchestration

The primary role of the candidate is to design, develop, and support the GMI component of the Listed Derivatives Clearing System.

The candidate is expected to participate in the entire software development life cycle from definition of requirements through deployment and support.

The successful candidate will work closely with IT peers and operational professionals to define behaviour, services, and interfaces for the tools under development.

The candidate is expected to work closely with colleagues and users in other regions. On occasion, the candidate is expected to lead technical discussions with the global team members.


Job Summary

  • The candidate will develop a deep understanding of the Global Futures Business, working closely with business and operations users
  • The candidate will develop a deep understanding of GS’ Listed Derivatives Transaction Processing systems and related applications
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Expertise with the Sungard GMI software package
  • Experience with requirement gathering from interactions with end-users
  • iSeries SQL experience
  • RPG design / development experience
  • Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with iSeries Java implementation
  • Experience with MQ messaging
  • Familiarity with build / deployment tool - Turnover
  • Experience with CDC DataMirror replication
