Job Description Job Purpose : This position is responsible to technically lead releases in Agile methodology with help of team ensuring customer delight while conforming to high quality standards and best practices, maintaining and improving SLA’s, and ensuring compliance to HSBC policies at all times. Key Responsibilities :
The role holder must also drive operational excellence across our businesses worldwide, achieving this through the consolidation, simplification and continuous improvement of processes across the full range of HSBC operations.
Should be able to allocate and track work of team.
Need to participate in department level activity
Communicate with the different project teams regarding resolving technical / application issues related to delivery of projects.
Work with Engineering and operations to ensure our environment is monitored appropriately.
Ensure SLA commitments are met, and escalate accordingly.
Working for continuous improvement to achieve customer satisfaction.
Should have flexibility as per need of project.
Should have experience in a production support setup for a tier 0 or tier 1 application.
Should have experience in incident management
Person Specification Knowledge / Experience :
8+ year minimum experience in banking domain.
Experience in working on Agile projects ( not just training)
Experience is working in Banking - Preference should be for experience in liquidity and Cash Management area
Able to take ownership and work independently to drive critical tasks to completion
Should have experience with MuleSoft.
Should have experience working in agile and devops environment using team collaboration tools such as Confluence, JIRA.
Excellent multitasking ability - Must have ability to track multiple issues, effectively manage time and competing priorities, and to drive results through partner organizations.
Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation of complex information and data).
Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
Weekly Release Reporting
Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
Maintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
Develops scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and / or roadblocks
Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
Researches new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyses their application to current configuration management needs
Bachelor’s degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering)
