Job Description

  • The Manager in this position will be part of the Commercial Operations Team managing or leading Planning & Analysis (BPA) teams supporting a Region / country;
  • driving the team to fulfil its objective of being an effective business partner to enhance the revenue & profitability. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing support as a business partner to region / Country.

    People Responsibility

  • Managing a team of 4-5 FAs / SFAs; supporting their career development, defining & measuring their objectives for the year, motivating them, ensuring their deliverables are being completed on a timely basis, allocating tasks within the team, managing and escalating their concerns to senior management.
  • Reviewing the work of team members, suggesting changes, guiding on process improvements, interacting with the team members’ stakeholders on a periodic basis and providing feedback to the individual.
  • Collaborating with other managers in the team to influence decisions and knowledge sharing. Delivering on larger organizational strategy
  • Dealing with ambiguity & change management Functional Responsibility -
  • Business Analysis & Decision support - Analyze the results and provide meaningful insights into the numbers and suggest relevant business actions.
  • Bring the story of the Region / country together based on team’s inputs.

  • Business Planning - Support the plan cycles and identify appropriate risks and opportunities in achieving the financial performance targets.
  • Continuously review and update key underlying assumptions. Drive and support the preparation of annual budgets and thereby support appropriate resource allocation.

  • Management Reporting - Prepare accurate and timely monthly and quarterly business review decks. Support monthly P&L reviews and help monitor financial targets.
  • Coordinate & Consolidate business review decks for the Business / Region along with planning the calendar.

  • Cost Center Reporting To keep a track of the expenditures of all line items by various cost centers & analyze the spends to assist in forecasting for various cost centers & prepare cost center reports to be shared with various cost center owners .
  • Global Processes Lead the various processes from Hyderabad for multiple countries, be able to provide insights, expert knowledge and liaise with the various stakeholders in the process.
  • Lead the implementation of the processes across the board in collaboration with other teams.

  • Input all the relevant information & data into Local & Global BPC & ensure that accuracy of numbers in both the systems.
  • Productivity initiatives - Drive continuous process improvements to drive efficiencies in the existing setup and share and implement best practices from other engagements.
  • Support performance measurement and productivity enhancement initiatives at the site and in the business.

  • Ability to manage turnover, ensure diversity, keep the team motivated, define career plans
  • Ability to implement new projects and manage change
  • Accuracy in reports & timely submission, being detail oriented, ability to respond in tight timelines with accurate numbers ;
  • explain key drivers in reports

  • Ability to handle adhoc requests
  • Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders who work with the team and gather feedback on members
  • Ability to identify abnormalities and proactively set in motion corrective action
  • Expert knowledge of internal financial reporting systems
  • Communication skills ability to deliver the message in a concise manner, and provide suggestions to support decision-making
  • Minimum requirements

    Chartered Accountant or MBAs (Finance) English

  • Minimum 6-9 years of experience in a business / financial capacity and also experienced in people management
  • Self-starter, past experience in managing teams
  • Excellent communication skills, eye for details, accuracy oriented
  • Able to collaborate across teams and advise team members to prioritize various deliverables
  • Project strong business acumen and ability to support ad-hoc requests (e.g. data research and analysis, business case development etc.)
  • Able to be BPA in terms of business partnering, planning, challenging and reporting.
  • Gather insights from Business Leads on a monthly basis in order to project high quality comments on Monthly Business Review decks
  • Experience of interacting / operating with senior leadership and with an ability to influence decision making
  • Strong Initiative skills to effectively work remotely and autonomously.
  • Prior experience in FP&A or BP&A
