Our Client, a non profit voluntary organization, is run by a core team of young professionals, and is supported by a wider group of associates, including senior academicians from institutions such as the National Centre for Disaster Management, School of Planning and Architecture etc.

The group was formalized in early 1994 and has been involved in research activities in Community Development, Disaster Management, Environmental Planning, Transport Planning, and Urban and Regional Planning.

Our client carries out activities on behalf of government, semi - government and international development agencies. Recently the organization is working on a unique project that involves community perceptions and participation in disaster risk reduction.

They are involved in a National Environmental Awareness Campaign, and a national NGO networking initiative.

As the Content & Social Media Marketing Lead , you will be responsible to oversee the implementation of the company's communication strategies to promote the company as a brand.

What you will do : Communication

  • Overseeing external partners and processes related to PR, social media and marketing agencies (weekly meeting, updates and approvals, follow ups, suggestion on message house, reporting, setting up meetings)
  • Analysing the performance with target groups and monitoring outreach of organisational alignment with defined targets
  • Reviewing and monitoring on progress of outreach opportunities and taking appropriate follow up actions
  • Overseeing and developing timely and high-quality content for the company's digital platforms, including the website, Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram and monitoring outreach
  • Contributing to short and long-term organisational communication planning and strategy
  • Developing timely and high-quality organisational collaterals including annual reports, brochures, communication guidelines, credit packs, monthly newsletter, mailers, campaigns, films etc.
  • Supporting the fundraising team for planning and execution of the strategies and campaigns
  • Planning and developing ideas for activations, exhibitions and other dissemination activities
  • Supporting in ideation and development of products for various stakeholders
  • Maintaining a rooster and deploying as and when needed external vendor (journalists, photographers, film makers, graphic designers, printers, marketing agencies)
  • Developing content and strategies for engagement of the company's ambassadors and volunteers
  • Ensuring strict compliance with the visibility guidelines and standards that the organisation follows
  • Providing writing and editing support for programme reports and other collaterals as needed
  • Internal support

  • Participating in monthly review meetings with other departments for coordination
  • Providing support for emergency response
  • Any other duties related to this position that emerge from organisational management planning as and when required
  • Salary : INR 4,50,000 - 5,50,000 P.A.

    Desired Candidate Profile

  • A masters degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related fields
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in communications, preferably in the development sector
  • Ability to think and articulate for different audiences
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Basic design and photography skills
  • Ability to coordinate inputs and activities across diverse teams spread across locations, to coordinate with other teams and to liaise with external stakeholders as needed
  • Relevant experience in delivering on time and on target
  • Ability to make considered and effective decisions and take clear action to address issues
  • Attention to detail to spot challenges and opportunities
  • Ability to collaborate with teams in a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment
  • Strong analytical and persuasion / negotiation skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, motivate, advocate and resolve conflict
  • Ability to succeed in often interrupt-driven, ambiguous and highly flexible environments
  • Ability to work and deliver independently as well as be part of a team
  • Ability to understand the implications and assess the appropriate degree of acceptable risk and take actions to minimize risk
  • Should be based in New Delhi
  • Flexible to travel up to 20% of the time, sometimes in emergency situations
