Job Summary :
Software Development Manager is accountable for managing and coordinating resources and processes to deliver software releases and helping to define the strategy for the development team by driving project initiatives that delivers on End point management product strategy and vision.
Job Responsibilities :
Work closely with the team and Product owner to plan and execute projects, ensure that teams have the appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines.
Work closely with the Product Owner understanding the system’s functional and non- functional requirements
Highly capable of understanding the technical issues and should be able to resolve it by working with the team by suggesting alternatives and great deal of deliberations within or other technical specialists in the BU.
Track and report the status of projects in the various forums and senior management as the owner of the component and to resolve the dependencies by working with across the other component managers or Specialists.
Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development.
Required Skills :
Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field with the industry experience of 10-15 years.
Minimum of 3 years of management / leadership experience in a software development organization required.
Must have at least 2 years of experience working through the design, development, and release cycle delivering software to market as a senior developer.
Large / enterprise application development experience with good exposure for client server architectures.
Experience in computer programming using Java, .net or other web application frameworks.
Experience programming in C and Linux (Desirable).
Experience on mobile apps development and knowledge on MDMs (Desirable).
Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem solving skills
Knowledge of Hibernate Framework (Desirable)
Strong understanding of the software development cycle especially Agile processes.
Be able to excel in idea generation, evaluation, and prioritization, customer and partner engagement, cross-functional technical program management and building / developing great engineering teams.
Experience solving complex and large-scare software problems.
A track record of successful delivery of software systems as an individual, team leader and / or development manager.
Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done.
