1. ROLE OBJECTIVE

To contribute to the achievement of Sales Targets as set through effective sales techniques; promotional campaigns and Customer Interaction to create, maintain and develop awareness about the product line.

2. DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, wherever applicable

OPERATIONAL

  • Sales and Collection
  • Monitor & successfully execute sale of all products to achieve set targets
  • Inform customers of pricing, discounts on products and motivate channel partners to achieve targets
  • Ensure timely placement of products in the market
  • Ensure achievement of collection targets
  • Demand Generation / Sales Promotion
  • Develop demand generation field activity plan in consultation with MDOs
  • Participate in all field campaigns as per norms
  • Channel Management
  • Ensure adequacy of channel, recommend appointment of wholesalers & dealers
  • Visit distributor / retailers at the defined frequency
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Monitor and resolve all trade as well as customer complaints
  • Maintain friendly and courteous relations with customers
  • Market Intelligence
  • Interact with farmers and trade to understand the market need and competitor products, and report such issues in a timely manner
  • People Responsibilities
  • Review and guide Field Assistant to ensure achievements of plan

  • Technical knowledge of the product line of agricultural Inputs.- seeds, fertilizers and pesticides
  • Cropping and rain patterns of the region
