Role Summary :

The NC Programmer will demonstrate leadership in manufacturing processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop & execute objectives for self & others, & have the ability to effect short-

term & some long-term business goals. Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line with understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures

Essential Responsibilities :

Develop & maintain CNC Programs in PPLM using Catia software as per manufacturing schedule.

  • Check issued drawings with respect to 3D models for dimensions, tolerances & feasibility for correct programming.
  • Select tooling, tool path & machining setup.
  • Verify NC program in Vericut for checking of excess material or gouge to avoid machine or tool collision.
  • Deliver Programming related documents & Tool sheets required for manufacturing.
  • Solve problems related to programming with shop floor supervisor if there is a problem during machining.
  • Deliver error free NC program to maintain Zero Defect & Zero accident on machine.
  • Uphold & participate in company Quality & EHS programs.
  • Coordinate with Tooling, Process, Planners & shop floor Engineer for un interrupted Production.
  • Support & deliver program in case of urgency due to change in manufacturing schedule.
  • NC Program improvements & can recommend change in design of jigs / fixtures, tools to boost productivity.
  • To support Central CAM & Digital team for Automation / improvements
  • Qualifications / Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or a high school diploma with at least 4 years of experience in CATIA and Vericut Software.
  • Practical knowledge of CNC machines & controllers.
  • Good knowledge of tooling technology, material & machining process.
  • Experience in Turbine manufacturing industry especially Casings, Valves & Pedestal machining is preferred.
  • Experience with Siemens 840D control is an added advantage.
  • Desired Characteristics :

    Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to work independently.
