As an EYT professional within CT Platform Engineering youll play a key role in that mission, driving collaboration and improving the delivery of business solutions for sponsors, stakeholders, and users.

As a Finance Manager you will be assigned to work on one or more verticals with in Platform Engineering. You are expected to work with leaders of the assigned verticals, Finance team etc for day to day management and reporting of financials.

Required Duties & Responsibilities to Achieve Jobs Purpose

Financial Management :

Serves to manage the overall budgeting to plan income and expenditures as well as control them

Supervise the production and maintenance of budget plans for the relevant vertocals

Serves as primary liaison with CT Finance POC to drive financial standards and management

Serves as an aggregation point to manage Finance and Resources at the Portfolio level

In addition to accountability for the roll up of the Verticals budget , this function will directly manage the P&L budget including plan to actuals reporting and forecasting

Works with the Technology Transformation Office / CT to develop common standards for efficiency reporting and support review and reporting

Partners with Service Line Business Management to develop approach to product and service level costing and revenue forecasting

Liaises with Area, Region and Country leadership to provide details related to technology costing including increasing transparency of technology charges

Supervise the analysis of current and anticipated projects to produce and maintain revenue forecasts

Review the forecast and budget submissions for expenses and capital to ensure all procedures and activities comply with organization guidelines

Responsible for analysis of costs and metrics that provide managerial insight into the strategy of the organization

Supervise the analysis and ROI to comply with the organization's initiatives

Review expenses to understand variances, trends against the budget, and be prepared to review variances with leadership

Resource Management :

Serves as an aggregated function for managing resources, like people, that might help to deliver an IT Service

Delivers operational support for day to day resource management needs on behalf of BMO

Support maintaining data in the RETAIN tool

Supervise the assessment of requirements in terms of quantity (number of resources) and type of skills and experience needed

Manage the evaluation of available resources in respect of skills and experience to staff into projects

Review and generate suggestions based on the reports covering forecasted utilization, actual utilization, and projected number of resources

Coordinate with Business Managers and other leaders as needed to review, recommend, and confirm resource assignments (this may include facilitation of resourcing meetings)

People Leadership : .

Plans and manages initiatives, recurring processes and ensure delivery against function objectives. Direct reports assign and monitor work for completeness and quality, coach and provide guidance to individual contributors.

Governs and controls the teams budgets inclusive of travel, education, purchased services, licensing etc.

Job Requirements

Minimum Level of Education, Certification & Licenses Required

An advanced degree in Business or Finance is preferred or equivalent work experience required (professional services industry preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Maintains advanced interpersonal skills to engage strategically with peers and other senior executives of the firm, in cross business aligned discussions within a matrixed, geographically dispersed organization and to build a solid network for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Uses these communication skills to challenge insightfully to improve portfolio management activities, propose credible options, maintain core directives aligned to EY mandates, and position the Portfolio Management function overall as a quality business function supporting Client Technology and the firm overall.

Job Requirements

Ability to operate across multiple programs, business areas, and portfolios

Good judgment how to keep things practical and simple

Role will be an individual contributor with possibility to grow to include 1-2 support analysts.

Outstanding self management , influence management , information presentation and interpersonal, communication

Technical skills requirements

End to end understanding of IT life cycle (pipeline, resource, demand, project delivery, financial)

Strong MS Project Server, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel skills

Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint preferred

Very good understanding of service delivery related key performance indicators

Work Experience

7+ years in a corporate Operational & Financial Management (professional services industry, preferred)

5+ years experience in similar role
