Position Description

DWS COO is comprised of 2,000+ professionals (incl. external staff) around the world, delivering technology solutions and business processes, including Trading and Operations, to Asset Management business in Deutsche Bank.

The Chief of Staff team is responsible for implementing the strategic, financial, operating plans and policies for DWS COO.

The current position is to support the global Chief of Staff in providing the required information for the executive to facilitate efficient decision making.

Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Day to day management of the resource plan life cycle from business request to approval for both internal and external resources.
  • Forecasting and planning resource management across global DWS COO in coordination with COO stakeholders and Finance
  • Ad hoc resource management tasks such as coordination of restructuring programs, Global Position Management, Professional Roles Framework, Mandatory Time Away etc
  • Participate in strategic initiatives discussion, track progress and provide updates to COOs / stake holders
  • Support MIS and data collection / presentation for senior management reports, e.g. Safety and Soundness Dashboards and Strategic Programme Overviews
  • Trouble shooting / Issue resolution which requires Knowledge of DB Group / COO financial processes, people and systems
  • Identify trends and improvement opportunities, highlighting proposed action plans to senior management
  • People Management

  • Will be responsible for managing a small local team in India with deliverables to global DWS COO
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments
  • Flexible work style, be able to work with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance for the development of team members
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams, and coaching / mentoring other Associates
  • Experience / Exposure

  • A deeply analytical mindset and strong intellect, plus an emerging ability to communicate clearly complex topics in PowerPoint and spoken form
  • Experience working independently and in a global / virtual / matrix team.
  • High presentation skills as the role require Board level presentations to be made
  • Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred or equivalent experience
