As the NPD & Innovation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the selection and evaluation of new ideas / concepts in the bakery segment primarily catering to B2B clients.
You will be creating new ideas, products, processes or recipes that will help promote company's products and translating them into technical requirements and consumer models to drive business impact.
What you will do :
Applying fundamental scientific principles in combination with a creative mindset to develop novel products in bakery segment
Leading the formulation and development of new mid-to-long term products to deliver unmet consumer needs
Developing recipes for new concepts using client's products to demonstrate to B2B Clients how those products could be used
Combining knowledge of consumer needs with technical solutions to create new product designs
Keeping abreast of new ingredients and technologies and recommending for consideration where appropriate
Designing, creating and implementing long term strategies to ensure effectiveness and operational sustainability of new products
Maintaining technical documentation such as laboratory notebooks and invention records
Running own applied research projects based on markets request
Obtaining technical and scientific know-how for the creation of new products
Ensuring that all new concept recipes follow specified process and deliver accurate yield and cost, and nutritional alignment in accordance with the norms
Building reputation for customer-focused creativity by delivering new ideas and bakery solutions
Providing intelligence on innovative raw materials and technologies that can differentiate the company's products

What you need to know / have :
At least 2+ years of experience as Chef in a Plant(Bakery Segment) preferred
Should be a food technologist - a mix of chef and scientist
Bakery products formulation and product development(NPD) experience is highly desired
Ability to plan and direct new product ideation
Strong Communication skills
